#VALUE!
Imagine a soft, gentle sheep standing amidst seventy surrounding wolves. The wolves gnash their teeth and sharpen their claws to devour her. A spectator might think the sheep is moments away from being eaten. Yet, astonishingly, the sheep survives.
These are the words of Hadrian, the Roman Emperor, to Rabbi Yehoshua: "Great is the sheep that stands among seventy wolves." Rabbi Yehoshua replied: "Great is the shepherd who saves her and breaks them before her."
There are those—more blinded than skeptical—who claim that the Jewish people exist through their own might alone. They deny the reality that we survive solely through the greatness of the Creator. There is no greater folly than this.
To witness Hashem's guidance, merely observe the world map for a moment and realize there is a Creator who watches over the Jewish People and the Land of Israel at every moment, as the verse states: "A land which Hashem your God looks after; the eyes of Hashem your God are always upon it, from the beginning of the year to the end of the year."
"Hashem loves the Jewish People," begins Rabbi Zamir Cohen. "He protects and safeguards them beyond any worldly reality."
Even when glancing at the world map: Israel in relation to the Arab countries. One should see: the size of Israel compared to Egypt, Libya, Algeria, Morocco, Sudan, Oman, Yemen, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Iran, Iraq, Syria, and Saudi Arabia. All Arab nations encircle Israel and merely wish for its demise, not to mention the terrorists residing within the country.
"How does the State of Israel still exist?", Rabbi Zamir exclaims in wonder and answers: "Here we see supernatural guidance, which greatly depends on the merits of the Jewish People."
Watch Rabbi Zamir Cohen's words on the program "Ktzarim":
Tzvi Yehezkeli, a commentator on Arab affairs for Channel 10, published a remarkable viral video after Operation Protective Edge, under the title: "We Need to Thank the Creator of the World."
Yehezkeli's words are as follows: "Rosh Hashanah 5775 was supposed to be a dark New Year for Israel. The non-conventional terrorism threats were meant to suddenly become a strategic threat. Several dozen tunnels dug years in advance—terrorists emerging from all settlements, Hezbollah simultaneously from the north.
"It was meant to be a shock," Yehezkeli continues to describe. "The goal was to kill and capture as many Israelis as possible. Israel was supposed to wake up to a reality where kindergarten teachers were held by Hamas in a kibbutz. What do you do in such a situation? A scenario like this was meant to impair public opinion and paralyze leadership for days.
"What caused this plan to fail? Why did it blow up prematurely? The missile threat, and of course the great miracle that only a small percentage of the rockets they fired hit, it broke Hamas and rushed them to reveal their next weapon—the tunnels.
"In the digging of the offensive tunnels discovered during Protective Edge to our great fortune, Hamas invested their utmost finances and energy. 250 Palestinians died in the tunneling. Many were prepared and waiting for this moment.
"Just imagine the incredible investment required to dig 25 meters into the earth and emerge at a precise point within an Israeli settlement without being discovered. It’s an underground city. This is the underbelly of Gaza," Yehezkeli describes Hamas’s tunneling network.
"The offensive tunnels were kept as a doomsday weapon. So why, after preparing such a surprise of dozens of tunnels along the entire border, did Hamas waste it? What sense does it make to lose the element of surprise they so desperately wanted?" Yehezkeli asks in amazement.
"Three boys were kidnapped and brutally murdered by Hamas operatives. Hamas evades responsibility, and the IDF begins a large operation to find the abducted boys. Meanwhile, Hamas attempts to orchestrate an intifada, mortars, rockets, massive firing towards southern settlements, assuming Israel does not wish for confrontation.
"During Operation Protective Edge, 13 terrorists entered Kibbutz Nahal Oz armed with RPGs, firearms, ammunition, sedatives, handcuffs ready to bind and capture as many Jews and Israelis as possible. The disaster that could have occurred sounded all red alert alarms. It caused Israel to realize the IDF must enter, acknowledging this as the first point from their perspective.
Watch Tzvi Yehezkeli's full and emotional words:
"Several events took place during the operation," continues Yehezkeli with enthusiasm. "Forget the fighting for a moment. What happened in the nation during the fighting? The people of Israel embraced their soldiers everywhere in the south; visitors flooded the corridors of Soroka Hospital. Suddenly there was a new spirit among the people. What happened here? This is what unites us when we are backed into a corner..
"Hashem hardened Hamas's heart so we might see this. Everything to see it. We are all players in reality. But what does reality say to us? Hamas absolutely does not love you. Nothing happens by chance. The flow of events itself is a tremendous miracle. This is immense guidance that has accompanied us for 4,000 years from all wars, from the first wars of our ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. There is something greater above us directing it, guiding it for the good..
"So we must thank one force, the Creator of the World, who created everything and brought us here, never breaking His promise: 'Even when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not reject them nor abhor them to destroy them completely, for I am Hashem their God.'"
