#VALUE!
Is it permissible to light the Chanukah menorah next to Shabbat candles?
It is permissible to light Chanukah candles next to Shabbat candles, and there is no concern that by lighting Chanukah candles one is exempted from the obligation of lighting Shabbat candles [as the Chief Rabbi told me].
Is it permissible to move the menorah after it has gone out?
A menorah that was lit on Shabbat eve may not be moved on Shabbat. However, if one made a condition beforehand stating that after it goes out they will move it, then it is considered a permissible utensil and may be moved even from sun to shade (Chazon Ovadia 6, 147). The same applies if the menorah was placed on a tray with bread before Shabbat began, in which case one is permitted to move the menorah after it has gone out [New Yalkut Yosef, Chapter 279].
