If a minor lit the Chanukah candles in the house, can his father light after him with a blessing?
If a minor preceded his father and lit the Chanukah candles in the house, there is concern about uncertain blessings, and the father should light the Chanukah candles without a blessing [Responsa Ach Tov V'Chesed Chapter 27].
Is it permissible to allow a minor to light the additional candles?
After the father has lit the obligatory candles, he is permitted to allow his minor children who have reached the age of education to light the additional candles. Young children below the age of education should light only the shamash [Chazon Ovadia Chanukah].
