Where Should One Living in an Apartment Building Light the Chanukah Menorah?
If your home is lower than ten meters, place it in a window or balcony facing the public domain. If your apartment is higher than ten meters, place it at the entrance of your apartment from the inside.
And if there are buildings across from your apartment and neighbors opposite can see the lights, it's preferable to light in the window facing the neighbors [Yalkut Yosef Chanukah p. 161].
Are Women Permitted to Perform Work While the Candles Are Burning?
