Is it permissible to pray Minchah in a place where they have already accepted Shabbat?
One who arrives late to the synagogue after the congregation has accepted Shabbat by saying "Bo'i Kalah" should not pray Minchah in that synagogue but should go outside and pray there. However, if one began praying lawfully and during that time the congregation accepted Shabbat, there is no prohibition against continuing [Chazon Ovadiah p. 298].
When a woman lights Shabbat candles, does she accept the prohibition of work?
The Sephardic custom is that women do not accept Shabbat by lighting candles, unless the Shabbat candles were lit more than half an hour after sunset, in which case she accepts Shabbat involuntarily and no condition helps.
Only in cases of great need is it possible to be lenient and light Shabbat candles from plag hamincha (1¼ halachic hours before sunset) and stipulate that she will not accept Shabbat, since nowadays with electricity, lighting the candle is a complete recognition that the lighting is done for the purpose of a mitzvah (Yalkut Yosef p. 548).
