If someone ate cake and drank wine, then recited Al HaMichya but forgot to add Al HaGefen, must they recite the blessing again?
One who recited Al HaMichya but forgot to mention Al HaGefen has fulfilled their obligation and does not need to repeat the blessing of Al HaGefen Ve'al Pri HaGefen. Similarly, if one ate rice and another food that requires the Al HaMichya blessing and only recited Al HaMichya, they do not need to recite Borei Nefashot [Chazon Ovadia p. 189].
Is it permissible to conclude the Al HaMichya blessing with "Al HaMichya Ve'al HaKalkalah"?
What is written in today's prayer books about concluding the blessing with "Al HaKalkalah" contradicts the Gemara [Berachot 49a] and the early authorities who wrote that one should not conclude with two endings. This practice should not be followed [Chazon Ovadia p. 198].
