What blessing is recited over granola?
Most granola produced today is made through roasting only, and therefore its blessing is "Borei Pri Ha'adama" (Creator of the fruit of the ground).
Granola produced by the "Strauss" company also undergoes cooking, so its blessing is "Mezonot", and if mixed with milk or a dessert, one should recite only the "Mezonot" blessing [Responsa Rishon LeTzion].
What blessing is recited over schnitzel?
Any food containing one of the five grain types that were added to provide flavor requires the blessing of "Mezonot". Therefore, schnitzel with breadcrumbs or Tivol schnitzel requires the blessing of "Borei Minei Mezonot" since the purpose of the crumbs is to add flavor [Responsa Rishon LeTzion 1:19].
