There's a logical reason why our skin gets dry during the winter. When temperatures drop outside, humidity levels also decrease—dry air leads to dry skin. Using heaters contributes to lowering the humidity, which is why many people, especially adults, end up with dry, itchy skin during this period.

But aside from the temperatures, if you're not consuming certain things, you might suffer from skin dryness:

Water – If you aren't drinking enough, your skin might dry out.

Fish – Skipping your weekly fish serving can lead to dry skin. Experts recommend eating about 220 grams of fish weekly, especially fatty fish or those that thrive in cold water since they contain fatty acids and Omega-3.

Egg Yolk - Egg yolk includes essential vitamins and minerals, including Vitamin D. Numerous studies suggest that a deficiency in this vitamin may affect skin dryness levels, so it’s recommended to eat at least one egg a day.

How to Treat Dry Skin?
Besides the aforementioned things, the key to treating dry skin is constantly maintaining skin moisture. To achieve this, you should adhere to several practices:

Drink plenty of water, wash your hands with lukewarm water using a moisturizing body soap, and regularly apply hand cream.
