The pomegranate is known as a healthy fruit. It is a kind of miracle cure. Each of its components has benefits – the peel, the seeds, and the juice.

Pomegranates have high nutritional values: they are rich in fiber, vitamins, and minerals. They strengthen the blood and improve conditions of iron deficiency. They also contain strong antioxidants that help the body cope with the effects of a polluted environment, the oxidative effects of air pollution, soot, smoke, and pesticides.

Daily consumption of pomegranate reduces inflammation in the body. Even diabetics who consistently drink pomegranate juice will see a reduction in inflammation markers, as the pomegranate has the ability to improve cell function in cases of cell intolerance to insulin. If cell sensitivity decreases, less sugar enters it, and instead, it stays in the bloodstream. If cell function increases - less sugar stays in the bloodstream, thus reducing the risk of diabetes and obesity. Due to the sugar content of the juice, the amount should be limited.

Juicing the fruit is better and contains more antioxidants because the pomegranate is juiced with the peel, which also releases antioxidants into the juice, increasing its nutritional value.

Pomegranate peels and the white membranes of the pomegranate serve as a remedy against parasites and worms in the digestive system. You can boil the pomegranate peels in water for a few minutes, then strain and drink.

Pomegranate peels are also good for treating and preventing gum inflammation. The antioxidants in pomegranates inhibit the adhesion of different strains of oral bacteria.

Dry the peels in a paper bag for three weeks. Then grind the dry peels into a powder and mix half a teaspoon in a glass of water to rinse your mouth. This way, the powder is preserved for a long time and can be used throughout the year, even when the season is over.

The powder is also good for treating parasites and digestive issues.

Many do not know that consuming pomegranate, especially pomegranate juice, may interfere with normal intake of various medications (the same goes for grapefruit juice). Pomegranate may slow the rate at which medication is broken down in the body, which can increase the effect of the medication, or conversely, there are cases where the effect decreases or is not felt.

Make use of pomegranates while they are on the shelves.
