- Find your balance. In the process of losing weight, it is important to find the balanced and best way for you and your body. Not every method or diet that worked for your friend or sister will necessarily help you. I see so many women who are on a diet that doesn't suit them or fit their schedule, or they 'adopt' a menu that doesn't match their tastes or didn't include foods they love. Therefore, even if they succeed in losing a bit of weight, they quickly gain it all back because they break down, as the menu or schedule doesn't fit or can't be maintained over time. The meaning of the word 'diet' in Greek is a way of life, and that’s precisely what I teach in my full workshop—how to adapt the menu to what you love, your schedule. To feel good about yourself, not be hungry, and your body gets all the nutrients it needs, then it will be calm and relaxed, and you will be happy and energetic, losing weight quickly and easily.
- It all starts in the mind. To make a true change and lose weight without gaining it back, you have to change your beliefs and perceptions about food. In the full workshop, we work on two levels simultaneously: the practical part of what, how, and how much to eat, and the mental part of mindset and changing consciousness regarding food. What is important in changing perception is that it's not something that can change or diminish over time. It's a change you make for life and will stay with you always. We all have perceptions and beliefs about food that lead us to automatic behavior that prevents success in dieting because ultimately, if our hand in the supermarket is tempted to take the chocolate dripping with sugar and fat, it started in the mind. Everything begins and ends there.
- Your body needs everything. Give it. The secret to consistent weight loss is consuming less energy than your body needs. Energy = calories. Every body needs a different amount of calories. Calories translate into energy that our body uses for everyday activities. When you give it just a bit less than it needs, you'll start to see weight loss. However, it's important to integrate and include all food groups in your menu so that your body gets healthy and good energy that can meet all the various bodily needs.
