1. Don't underestimate the small things. No time for exercise? No problem, but at least try a little: walk whenever possible, take the stairs instead of the elevator, and do simple exercises at home. 5 minutes a day.
2. Drink two glasses of water before your first cup of coffee in the morning. It will boost your metabolism, clear the morning fog, and flush your blood vessels. If you really can't give up the coffee just yet, have it after the two glasses of water. Your body will thank you.
3. Feeling brave? Here's another suggestion: Replace coffee with green tea. Green tea is good for the heart and contains antioxidants. Worth it.
4. Avoid emotional eating – Replace eating sweets when you're angry or sad with a walk or run outside, or alternatively with drinking a glass of water. Use physical movement instead of food when your mood is low.
5. Craving a snack? No problem, but at least make it healthy. Prepare a healthy snack bowl at home with apples, walnuts, raisins, dates, bananas with almonds. Fresh vegetables are also great: they're healthy, packed with vitamins, and low in calories.
6. Listen to what your body signals to you. If you're experiencing pains (head, stomach, joints, muscles, etc.) or discomfort that wasn't present before (fatigue, weakness, poor sleep, skin problems, etc.), it's a sign that the body is trying to tell you something is wrong and you should investigate and find solutions.
7. It's easy to criticize ourselves, but to maintain our health and quality of life – we need to learn to compliment ourselves and appreciate every small action we take. Even if you fail, don't punish yourself. Be satisfied with what you eat, and feel good about it. Adopt a positive approach to life and see the positive in what happens to you. It will impact your entire day.
8. Avoid over-the-counter medications, like painkillers, unless it's absolutely necessary and it's a specific, unique situation. These medicines aren't as harmless as they seem, and regular consumption can harm the digestive system and other bodily systems.
9. When incorporating a healthy habit into your routine, do it not out of obligation, but knowing it is beneficial and can improve your health.
10. Woke up in the morning? Smile. Teach your brain to smile. You won't believe how many good things we have; we just need to notice them.
