Recently bought pickles? Before you pour their juice down the sink, read the following lines to discover seven fantastic uses for it.

The juice in which the pickles are preserved contains vinegar, water, and salt—ingredients that work wonders in various areas. According to Dr. Josh Axe (Josh Axe), "It might sound strange, but this acidity can help you with one or two things".

In his article, Dr. Axe highlights several interesting uses and mentions that since he discovered these uses, he completely stopped throwing away his pickle juice, whether store-bought or homemade.

So what are the seven remarkable uses Dr. Axe offers?

Soothing mosquito bites

The vinegar might sting a bit on the bite, but it will soon soothe the redness and even stop the itching.

Relieving stomach aches

The acidity in pickle juice balances the pH level in our bodies and eases stomach and abdominal pains.

Forget about antacids

Two tablespoons of pickle juice with a tablespoon of honey can significantly relieve heartburn issues.

Bad breath? Not anymore!

Despite its acidity, or perhaps because of it, pickle juice excels at eliminating unpleasant odors, including bad breath.

Helps soothe muscle cramps

Studies conducted among people who frequently suffer from muscle cramps have shown that it often results from a lack of salt and fluids. Since pickle juice contains high levels of salt, it also includes sodium and potassium that prevent the occurrence of this phenomenon.

During a cramp, you can drink about a quarter cup of pickle juice, which in many cases has been proven to alleviate the pain.

And if you still don't want to use pickle juice for consumption, Dr. Axe still recommends keeping it "for these two genius uses: Vegetables soaked in pickle juice will last and stay fresh about a week longer than usual. Additionally, you can use pickle juice for 'spraying' weeds in your garden. I did it myself and happily, the weeds disappeared and didn't reappear."
