Eating too much matzah during Passover can cause constipation, but worry not: there are several remedies to this issue. If you drink herbal tea and avoid coffee, various sweetened juices, and sodas, you ensure yourself health and good digestion during Passover.

What else can you take to ease the digestive system in case of constipation?

Natural prune juice

To prepare, thoroughly clean about five dried prunes and pour boiling water over them in a suitable cup. Cover the cup and place it in the refrigerator overnight. Drink the infusion about half an hour before the meal.

Vegetables rich in fiber
Such as lettuce, fennel, beetroot, carrot, and kohlrabi will help relieve constipation.

Avoid drinks with caffeine such as coffee, tea, cocoa, and cola, as well as foods like prickly pear, persimmon, and banana.

Lemon with olive oil
Half a cup of lukewarm water with half a squeezed lemon and a tablespoon of olive oil will perform the necessary action and significantly ease the condition. If needed, you can replace the lemon juice with two teaspoons of apple cider vinegar.
