Suffering from lower back pain? A new recipe shared on Dr. Axe's American site "saved my life," according to one commenter at the bottom of his article.

The balm that Dr. Axe suggests to his readers is made from a combination of coconut oil, cayenne pepper, turmeric, and ginger. Most of these ingredients contain anti-inflammatory properties that help improve blood circulation and reduce muscle swelling.
To prepare the homemade balm, you'll need a quarter cup of grated beeswax, half a cup of coconut oil, two tablespoons of ginger, two tablespoons of turmeric, two tablespoons of cayenne pepper, 20 drops of peppermint/eucalyptus essential oil, and water.

Preparation method: Cook the coconut oil with the beeswax in a small pot with about two cups of water until the wax melts.
Add the remaining ingredients and stir for a few minutes. Pour the balm into a closed glass container and leave it to cool. Use the balm every evening before bed if you suffer from chronic back pain.
