A new innovative study conducted in India among 78 men and women showed that cumin is just as effective as prescription drugs when it comes to weight loss, and it has no side effects. Cumin, which is a very common spice in India and Latin American countries, has an enormous impact on our digestive system.
The research, conducted for the first time at Shahid Beheshti University in Tehran, divided the group of women into two. Over eight weeks, both groups were instructed to adhere to a specific diet, but one included cumin daily while the other did not. "We found that the women who incorporated cumin into their diet lost an additional 3 kg of body weight and reduced body measurement by about 20% more compared to the second control group," explained the researchers.
When asked about the best way to consume it, the researchers recommended a teaspoon of cumin powder mixed with natural yogurt daily, "as a guarantee for burning fat, especially in the abdominal area."
