Fungal infection in fingernails or toenails is one of the most challenging conditions to cure naturally. Besides the fact that it feels like a never-ending process, at times it seems ineffective in healing the area. However, this recipe we found online has not only worked personally for us but also helped dozens of other users who reported amazing results.

Many American bloggers who have reviewed this remedy claim that one of the two ingredients—baking soda—is like an 'atomic bomb' against fungal infections, not just in nails. "Together, they both reduce the fungus's ability to survive while maintaining the health of your skin and nails," write the bloggers.

To successfully treat nail fungus, alongside natural therapies, it's necessary to adapt a suitable diet and cut out foods that 'invite' fungi, such as sweets, fried foods, and products made with white flour. Though this may be a tough decision, curing the fungus is definitely worth it.

So, what do we need to prepare the remedy?

5 tablespoons of baking soda, a cup of apple cider vinegar or regular vinegar.

Preparation: In a large bowl designed for soaking feet, mix the vinegar with the baking soda and then add warm water until your feet are fully covered. Soak your feet/hands in the water for 15 minutes, then dry them thoroughly, including between the toes (water attracts fungi, so it's important to dry your feet well after treatment).

Note: For faster but less healthy results, you can add a cap of bleach to your water bowl (this is a particularly effective tip I received years ago from a dermatologist who admitted that among all existing products on the market for this issue, he is not aware of one that works like bleach does in eliminating nail fungus).
