Another reason to start drinking turmeric in the morning: A woman from Bristol, England, never thought this experiment would change her life and the lives of tens of thousands worldwide.

Before the experiment, the anonymous woman suffered from various digestive issues, but her biggest problem was arthritis, which plagued her for many years. Surprisingly, the turmeric drink given by her homeopathic doctor significantly helped her alleviate the pain.

"My acidity levels are excellent today, indicating my body is alkaline, but I wouldn't have achieved all these health improvements without my miracle drink," she says. "One cup of turmeric water every morning on an empty stomach."

She has been following this habit for over a year now, and she reports an "amazing energy level" she hadn't experienced before. Many therapists and doctors attribute these miraculous healing abilities to curcumin, the active ingredient in the spice, which also slows down the aging process.

The many benefits of turmeric have been frequently mentioned, but we'll briefly list them again: protecting against Alzheimer's and dementia, improving digestive system function, fighting chronic inflammation, preventing the spread of cancer cells in the body, reducing the side effects of arthritis and alleviating pain, preventing blood clots, and aiding in type 2 diabetes, among others.

The woman shares her secret, writing that the drink is not based on turmeric alone. "I read in an article that turmeric combined with black pepper and hot water is the best way to relieve my joint pain, and that's what I did. One cup of hot water, a flat teaspoon of black pepper, and a teaspoon of turmeric. I warn you, it's a particularly awful drink, but it did wonders for my body, and for that, I am grateful."
