Bad morning habits can affect our entire day. Here are three common habits that most people have, but only a few realize are problematic.

As the Holy Ari wrote in the book "Etz Chaim", Gate 4, "everything follows the beginning" – and this certainly applies to health matters.

So, what are the three things you absolutely should not do early in the morning?

First thing: Don’t start your morning with coffee

Although it’s the first thing most of us do, and coffee lovers know exactly why – according to Dr. Stephen from the University of Maryland, this is a habit that must be uprooted because caffeine spikes our energy to maximum levels, and then gradually declines. That’s why we often feel an unexplained fatigue, even without exerting much effort. What should you do instead? Dr. Stephen recommends drinking a glass of water before coffee.

Second thing: Don't skip breakfast

Whether you are one who needs a full breakfast or not, it is crucial to eat something within the first hour of waking. It could be yogurt with granola if that satisfies you, but it’s very important not to skip breakfast and insist on eating even small foods (dates, yogurt, cereal, etc.).

This meal should last you until lunchtime, when you’ll have your main meal – but never leave yourself hungry for half the day, relying solely on drinking liquids.

Third thing: Activate your body before starting your workday

Many of us spend long hours at the office in front of a computer without much physical activity – a bad habit that should be discarded as soon as possible. It’s important to start the morning with exercises and stretches, activating your body as much as possible. If your workplace has stairs, skip the elevator and use them to get around. During breaks, try to stretch with light exercises to improve blood flow and keep you feeling refreshed throughout the day.
