What is the obligation of eating in the Sukkah?

One who eats cake in an amount more than the size of an egg must eat it in the Sukkah, but should not recite the blessing of "Leshev BaSukkah" unless eating an amount of 162 grams.

Similarly, one who eats a cooked dish made from the five types of grain, such as noodles, in an amount of 162 grams is obligated to eat in the Sukkah.

Other foods such as rice or meat, even if eaten as a regular meal, are exempt from the Sukkah requirement.

One who is stringent and does not drink even water outside the Sukkah is praiseworthy (Chazon Ovadia 139)
