Is it permissible to sit beneath decorations in the Sukkah?

A sheet or decoration made to beautify the Sukkah, if it is within 32 cm of the schach (covering), it is permissible to sit beneath it. If the beginning of the decoration [not including the string] is within 32 cm, even though it extends beyond 32 cm and one wishes to sit beneath it, there is halachic basis to rely upon [Yalkut Yosef Siman 638, Chazon Ovadia Sukkot p. 33].

Is it permissible to hang decorations in the Sukkah on Yom Tov?

If decorations fell on Shabbat or Yom Tov, it is forbidden to reattach them on Shabbat by adhesion or pins, but it is permissible to hang them on an existing nail [Yalkut Yosef Siman 638].
