It all started with an innocent study conducted in 2010 by the Der Pharma Chemical Institute, aiming to find effective yet natural solutions for tuberculosis. During the research, the scientists discovered that when you mix natural pineapple juice (not the kind offered in canned varieties) with black pepper and honey – a winning formula is created, effective five times more than conventional syrups in curing coughs and breaking down mucus.

Following this research, numerous additional studies emerged confirming: thanks to the significant amount of anti-inflammatory substances in the fruit, such as bromelain, throat bacteria are quickly and efficiently eliminated. Besides this, it also contains a huge amount of vitamin C, which strengthens the immune system, especially concerning various winter illnesses.

Pineapple also contains natural manganese, which helps us maintain the health and integrity of our bones and joints, and specializes in treating arthritis and inflammation in general. Also in the throat.

Holistic nutritionist Karen Foster from the U.S., a mother of five children all raised on this 'miraculous' syrup based on the excellent research mentioned at the beginning, writes in her blog that it is a "perfect natural remedy that is not only cheaper than the conventional medicines sold to you in pharmacies, but also excels in detoxifying the body from toxins and chemicals, and in curing a sore throat accompanied by mucus, cough, breathing problems, snoring, and more."

Karen Foster's recipe for a winning natural syrup, that anyone can make at home:

  • One cup of natural and fresh pineapple juice
  • One teaspoon of grated natural ginger
  • One tablespoon of honey
  • Quarter cup of fresh lemon juice
  • Half teaspoon of black pepper

Mix all the ingredients until you get a uniform blend, and drink about a quarter cup, three times a day (we emphasize that we do not guarantee the syrup's success, but merely bring the information to your attention).
