Not just for salads or spaghetti sauce: Now it's time for the tomato to shine with its phenomenal abilities in renewing and rejuvenating facial skin. Packed with nutrients - vitamins such as K, C, E, A, and B6, they provide holistic skin nourishment on one hand, and on the other hand - the high acidity in tomatoes balances the PH levels in our skin and combats acne.

Treatment for affected facial skin - the quick way:

1. Cut a small tomato in half, and rub its inner part on acne-affected or other blemished areas of the face. Wait for the ingredients to be fully absorbed into the skin, and rinse with lukewarm water.

Treatment for affected facial skin, the long way:

1. Place the tomato in a certain container, and pour boiling water over it until completely covered.

2. Wait a few minutes for the peel to soften.

3. Remove the peel, and cut the tomato in half.

4. Remove the seeds, and grate the tomato using a grater.

5. Mash the tomato until you get a smooth paste, and apply it to the blemished areas.
