Not many people know, but there is an entire field of healing called Apitherapy, which uses bee venom to treat a range of diseases and inflammations that conventional medicine doesn't always know how to handle. The person who researched this method in depth and even brought it to the public's attention in a book called 'Healing with Bees' is Orit Kadar, who has made a name for herself as a knowledgeable apitherapist.
Although the book has already helped heal hundreds of people, it remains an esoteric method that practitioners across the country rarely use. Why? According to Kadar, one reason is people's fear of being stung. The second reason is that unlike traditional medicine, which used the method extensively, modern medicine has simply 'skipped' this method, and it has not been researched enough. "Most research worldwide is funded by pharmaceutical companies traded on the stock exchange, and they have no interest in researching Apitherapy."
And what does she have to say about the painful and unpleasant way the treatment is done? "It's true that a sting is painful and unpleasant, which most of us avoid. But once you go through it, you realize that the area burns for exactly 30 seconds, and the pain passes. It's not as bad as it sounds."
Kadar explains that the demand for various beehive products is increasing, not by chance. "Everything a bee produces is good for a person, except for those who are allergic to these products," she explains. "And aside from pregnant women, diabetics, allergenic individuals, people with liver and kidney problems, and others who suffer from different illnesses, it's essential to consult a qualified doctor before turning to us. However, I can say that many people who call me have already tried every possible method, and nothing helped them." Bee venom contains substances that can impact autoimmune diseases, blood and heart diseases, multiple sclerosis, lupus, fibromyalgia, neurological diseases, and more.
Besides Kadar, whose experience with the method led her to write the book, 77-year-old Rachel Tyroler from the Upper Galilee also decided to give the treatment a chance and has already endured 3,000 stings. How does she feel today? "Wonderful," she says. "My health has improved so much that I no longer need my walking cane. Today, I also walk for an hour every day and swim. It's a great feeling to know that I'm no longer limited."
