Meet the Device That Will Save You a Visit to the Doctor

Don't have the energy to rush to the doctor every moment? Meet "Tyto," an Israeli innovation that allows you to conduct a full physical examination and instantly transmit the results to the doctor, without leaving home.

Dedi Gilad and Ofer Sadik founded "Tyto Care" in 2012, and since then, they have been enhancing and refining the smart device. In an interview with ynet, Gilad explained how he thought of the development: "My little daughter started kindergarten about four years ago. During the first year, she repeatedly suffered from earaches and fever, leading to a recurring ritual: notifying work that I wouldn't make it, taking my daughter to the doctor, waiting for a long time in line next to sick people, and after a short check-up, the pediatrician would say 'it's viral, rest at home and return for a check-up in a few days.' That's how the idea for Tyto arose."

"Tyto" is a device that allows you to check all the body's systems and transmit the examination to the doctor. It is a sophisticated device that includes a sensitive microphone, a recording device, and a high-resolution video camera. Additionally, it includes an otoscope for examining ears and capturing the ear canal, a stethoscope for recording heart, breathing, and bowel sounds, an otoscope for the eyes, imaging of skin lesions, an ECG device for transmitting heart rate, and a thermometer.

On the device's screen, precise instructions are displayed on where to place the apparatus, how long to keep it at the test point, and when to move it to the next test point. As mentioned, the device collects the data and transmits them to the attending physician.

The developers are now awaiting approval from the FDA, the American Food and Drug Administration, for marketing approval. The developers also note that health funds have shown interest in the device and promise that its price will be affordable for everyone.
