New Study Reveals: Chocolate Benefits Brain Health
If we previously believed chocolate only helped us focus during exams, a new study now reveals a multitude of additional benefits from consuming this sweet treat.

Aside from causing dental problems if consumed uncontrollably, chocolate has always been credited with 'healing' properties related to concentration during exams. A new study published in the journal Appetite reveals that daily chocolate consumption benefits the brain and improves cognitive functions.

The study leaders examined the effects of chocolate on nearly 1,000 individuals aged 23-100, and the results amazed them: everyone who ate chocolate daily showed faster and better brain functions than others. "The reason is that chocolate solids contain excellent antioxidants that have been proven beneficial in treating various medical issues, including heart function improvement," the researchers noted. "Our research proves that limited chocolate consumption is good for the brain, but excessive amounts will compromise your health."
