One of the most famous plants that assist in healing burns is the Aloe Vera plant. What is less known is that this plant has numerous medical capabilities. In this article, I wish to share a bit about this wonderful plant. Let's start by noting that there are two famous varieties used for medical purposes. The first is 'Aloe Vera Barbadensis,' which contains a high concentration of a substance called anthraquinones. This substance has a very strong laxative effect, hence it helps in severe cases of constipation. However, it may cause excessive irritation of the intestines. Therefore, it should be used cautiously and only in very severe cases, for a very short term, and under the guidance of a therapist. The second unique type is called Barbadensis. This type of Aloe Vera has received much attention in research in recent years. It has been found that this type of Aloe contains many nutritional components that can grant it the status of a complete food supplement. What does Aloe Vera contain?
Amino acids: The human body needs 22 amino acids that serve as the building blocks for the body's proteins, constituting the structure of all cells in the body. Our entire body is composed of different combinations of various proteins built on different compositions of 22 amino acids. Most amino acids can be synthesized by the body itself. Eight of them, called 'essential', must be obtained from food. Aloe Vera gel provides 20 out of the 22 amino acids, including seven out of the eight essential amino acids. Therefore, Aloe Vera is a quality protein food supplement.

Vitamins: Aloe Vera gel is rich in a wide variety of vitamins. It is rich in beta-carotene, various B vitamins, vitamins C and E. These vitamins help strengthen the immune system, act as detoxifiers (antioxidants), strengthen the nervous system, and assist in conditions of stress and tension.
Minerals: Various body functions require minerals, and Aloe Vera gel contains many of them. Some are well-known, such as calcium, sodium, potassium, iron, magnesium, and zinc, while others are less known but very essential to our body, such as chromium, manganese, and copper.
Aloe Vera contains many other substances that contribute to the functions of various systems, like polysaccharides, which are long chains of sugars capable of protecting the immune system from various viruses causing different diseases.
Additionally, Aloe Vera gel may assist the digestive system as it contains various digestive enzymes, including those that help digest fats and proteins. It also helps balance probiotic bacteria in the intestines.
It's worth trying Aloe Vera to improve health, and of course, it is recommended to consult with a natural therapist about it. To health!
