#VALUE!

Last week, we discussed wheat, barley, and the vine from the Seven Species. This time, I wish to complete the Seven Species.

Fig

A fruit with high nutritional value, containing a high percentage of protein, iron to help with anemia, calcium, and potassium which aids in balancing blood pressure. Due to its high dietary fiber, the fig is very helpful with constipation. The fruit can be eaten fresh in its season (of course, ensure it is free of worms). Delicious, healthy, and nourishing. An interesting property of the milk found in the unripe fruit after being picked from the tree, as well as the leaf detached from the tree: applying the milk daily on viral warts can help in their removal.

Pomegranate

Pomegranate juice contains a high amount of powerful antioxidants which can prevent atherosclerosis, balance cholesterol, and lower blood pressure - partly due to its high potassium level, and it also contains inhibitors of prostate cancer cell growth. Researchers who soaked prostate cancer cells with a low concentration of pomegranate extract observed inhibited cancer cell growth. The pomegranate contains a high amount of vitamin C, which helps strengthen the immune system. It is advisable to drink up to one cup of pomegranate juice per day. Those with kidney stones should avoid or at least minimize drinking pomegranate juice due to the oxalic acid present in it.

Olive Oil

Olive oil is considered one of the healthiest oils in the world. Olive oil aids in cardiovascular health, balances blood lipids, reduces high blood pressure, helps constipation, and more. Olive leaves also possess health properties: they have antibacterial, viral, and antifungal properties, aiding in cases of colds, flu, and more. The leaves also help lower sugar and blood pressure, balance cholesterol, and they have anticancer properties.

Dates

The fruit contains a high percentage of dietary fibers, aiding in blood lipid balance, preventing constipation, and more. It contains antioxidants that help prevent cardiovascular and vascular diseases. Additionally, dates contain B vitamins that aid in improving mood and relaxing stress. Lutein and zeaxanthin, essential for eye health, are present. It contains a high amount of various minerals, such as potassium and magnesium, which help lower blood pressure and prevent constipation. The date is a sweet fruit that can serve as a candy and a natural snack. It is very tasty to eat with almonds or nuts, acting as a snack that can also serve as a delicious and satisfying meal.
