The human digestive system is not suited for excessive meat consumption. But are there advantages to eating it?

I was asked by one of the readers about meat consumption. This question arises from the fact that there are various opinions both supporting and opposing the consumption of meat. In my upcoming articles, I wish to present mainly the critical opinions about eating meat, even though it is considered a very basic food.

First, I will give a little of what experience in the field teaches us: I can state that many of the patients I suggested stop eating meat, or at least reduce its intake, began to feel better, especially when they suffered from digestive issues.

For example: A patient complained of constant fatigue, although it did not interfere with his functioning. Based on the eye examination, I told him that, in general, it was not suitable for him to eat meat, whether he felt well or not, as his digestive system was not suited for digesting such heavy food. After two weeks, he told me that he indeed stopped eating meat and began to feel more alert.

However, I must mention that meat has some important advantages, such as a high amount of protein and vitamin B12 which is quite rare in nature, and more.

One must know that one of the differences between the digestive system of carnivorous animals and the human digestive system is that the digestive system of carnivorous animals is short, while that of humans is very long.

As a result, meat stays in the human digestive system for a long time, causing the growth of putrefactive bacteria whose role is to decompose organic animal materials, such as meat consumed by humans. In contrast, in carnivorous animals, the meat does not stay long, hence fewer putrefactive bacteria are required.

These putrefactive bacteria produce dangerous toxins while decomposing animal protein, which irritate the intestinal walls and over time can lead to various intestinal diseases. In addition, these toxins are absorbed through the intestinal walls and enter the bloodstream, forming the basis for many diseases such as migraines, fatigue, weakness, insomnia, and more.

Therefore, a number of recommendations for those who eat meat to follow these rules: A. Do not excessively consume meat. B. Chew the meat properly. C. It is advisable to precede the consumption of a lot of raw vegetables, especially those with green leaves. D. For those with sensitivity in the digestive system, it is advisable to avoid eating carbohydrates with meat, such as potatoes, rice, and the like, and replace them with raw or cooked vegetables.
