The Significance of Colors in the Plant World

Centuries ago, people noticed a surprising resemblance between the shapes of certain fruits, vegetables, and medicinal plants, and the human organs they benefit.

#VALUE!
In the plant world, the connection between the colors of various items and their qualities and benefits, alongside the spiritual system of each color, is becoming increasingly apparent in our times.
New research shows that groups of fruits and vegetables of the same color contain similar nutritional components necessary for maintaining human health and defending against diseases. For example, red vegetables and fruits such as tomatoes, red peppers, watermelon, red grapefruit, strawberries, pomegranates, and dark grapes, are beneficial for the heart and circulatory system because they contain a large number of antioxidants. On the other hand, white vegetables such as onions, radishes, turnips, and garlic boost the body's immune system and destroy bacteria; especially garlic, known in alternative medicine as 'natural antibiotic'. Thus, the actions of red and white in the plant world parallel the actions of red and white blood cells, all corresponding to their spiritual roots.
The observer of nature can find an interesting hint of the connection between the colors of different vegetables and fruits and their benefits to certain parts of the human body:
Yellow vegetables, such as corn, yellow beans, and yellow peppers, are good for eye health, and their yellow color resembles the color of light through which eyes see.
Green vegetables, such as cabbage, lettuce, and parsley, invigorate human enzymes that fight cancerous diseases. Just like all the green in nature, they expel toxins, purify the air through photosynthesis, and preserve environmental quality.
Orange vegetables and fruits, such as carrots, pumpkins, apricots, and mangoes, benefit skin health, as their color is close to the color of the skin.
It is remarkable that even the shape of fruits hints at their benefits to a specific organ in the human body, as they resemble that organ in appearance. This is elaborated upon in the following two pages, pointing incidentally to the one Creator who created all existing entities in the world and embedded wonderful clues to be revealed to the observer.
Indeed, a wonderful and harmonious creation, where all components declare in unison about the one Creator: "How great are Your works, Hashem! You made them all with wisdom".[2]
Examples of the Doctrine of Signatures:
Carrot - A slice of carrot looks like the human eye. You can clearly see the pupil, iris, and radiating lines. Scientific studies have proven that carrots are very good for the eyes. Eating them improves blood flow in the eyes and greatly benefits their function.[4]
Tomato - The natural tomato is divided into four chambers and is red. The heart also has four chambers and is red. Studies on the effect of tomatoes on the human body have shown that they are good for heart health, especially through lycopene[5] and blood purification.
Grapes - Each red grape looks like a single blood cell under magnification. In addition, a bunch of dark grapes resembles the shape and color of the heart. Studies[6] have clearly demonstrated that dark grapes also play a significant role in heart health and blood purification.
Walnut - The similarity between the brain and a walnut is simply astonishing. The walnut looks like a small brain, divided into two halves - a right hemisphere and a left hemisphere, lying within the skull. Even the wrinkles and folds resemble the cortex. Today, it's known that walnuts contain serotonin and vitamins important for the brain, and studies have shown that extract from them improves the functioning of the brains of Alzheimer's patients.[7]
Red Bean - Looks like the shape of a kidney and according to Chinese medicine, eating it greatly strengthens kidney function in healthy individuals. However, kidney patients are prohibited from eating beans because beans contain a natural substance called phosphate, banned for kidney patients.
Sweet Potato - Resembles the shape of the pancreas. Indeed, eating sweet potatoes benefits diabetics [whose illness, as known, stems from impaired pancreatic function], as it helps stabilize and regulate the body's sugar and insulin levels.
Onion - Looks like a single cell under magnification. In natural medicine, onions are known to help cleanse body cells of waste materials.
Avocado - An avocado with its seed inside resembles a uterus. After cutting, one half looks with a seed, the other without. Natural medicine associates avocados with the prevention of women's cancers, balancing hormones, and speeding recovery after childbirth. Interestingly, it takes exactly nine months from the blossoming of the avocado flower in spring to the ripening of the fruit in winter...
Figs - Figs grow in pairs and are full of seeds. Eating them has been found to assist in preventing male infertility.

Another study that concluded vitamin and antioxidant supplementation in carrots has no effect on the eyes was proven wrong, as it was carried out on people whose diet already included sufficient amounts of these substances, making additional intake ineffective.
