The number of individuals suffering from mental illnesses is extremely high in our time. Many people who have been mentally healthy throughout their lives, possessing self-confidence and judgment skills, suddenly find themselves experiencing excessive and irrational anxiety, imaginary fears, painful depressions, and other mental illnesses.
Only in few cases do mental illnesses appear without any apparent reason. In most cases, they occur after a crisis that strikes a person with intensity, causing shock and mental disturbance. However, it should be known in all cases: just as in physical health, preventive care helps maintain health and prevents illness from occurring, so too in mental health. The sooner we educate ourselves and our children in good times, when everything is fine, to live properly and to correctly understand the purpose and benefit of challenges and crises in life, the better equipped we will be to deal with any difficulty and crisis and emerge safely should they, Heaven forbid, arrive. Let us examine, therefore, the preventive cognitive treatment methods, which can also ease suffering and in some cases even heal those in mental crisis.
