The Source of Headaches

How are headaches linked to mental relaxation, regular physical activity, and fiber consumption?

Once, I conducted an iris diagnosis on a woman who had suffered from headaches for many years. I asked her if she suffered from constipation (there were signs indicating this in her eyes). Her response was: "Not at all, I go to the bathroom every two days!" I explained to her that if there isn’t at least one bowel movement a day, it's considered constipation. I mentioned Maimonides' words in "Yad HaChazakah": "A person should always strive to have soft bowels throughout his life and be close to having mild diarrhea. This is a great principle in medicine, as when the bowels are reluctant or move with difficulty, many illnesses ensue."

It is possible that her headaches are linked to the constipation she experiences for two reasons. Firstly, constipation can result from the intestines' muscles contracting, as when a person is tense, which can cause the blood vessels and the skull muscles in the brain to contract, leading to headaches. Secondly, in a constipated state where stool remains in the colon for an extended period, the toxins are reabsorbed into the bloodstream, imposing a toxic burden on the liver and blood. When these toxins reach the head, the result is headaches. Therefore, I recommended addressing this issue on three fronts:

A. She should learn how to avoid stress and achieve relaxation. Consumption of the mineral 'Magnesium' helps relax muscles, thus aiding in the prevention of headaches and constipation.

B. She should consume foods that facilitate easier bowel movements, such as plentiful water, cold-pressed olive oil, squeezed lemon juice with a glass of water, eating red beet, whether cooked or raw, and its cooking water. Green leaves such as lettuce, parsley, celery, coriander, dill. Consumption of dietary fibers found in vegetables, fruits, and grains like whole rice, oatmeal, etc. At the same time, she should avoid foods lacking dietary fibers, such as white flour, white rice, and the like.

C. Regular physical activity, like walking for about half an hour a day. Physical activity helps relieve stress, thereby relaxing muscles. Furthermore, physical activity helps boost the functioning of various organs and blood flow, contributing to the removal of toxins from the body. It also stimulates the activity of the large intestine, aiding in eliminating waste from the body.

This woman, along with others who followed this process, gained several benefits: they improved their bowel movements, reduced the intensity and frequency of their headaches, and unintentionally... also lost weight.
