One of my patients, who visited because of a constipation issue, received a recommendation to consume plenty of green leaves throughout his day. A few days later, he called me, astonished by his new state, as he could cleanse more easily. He asked, "Could it be that the green leaves made the change?" My answer was affirmative. This is one of the many benefits of green leaves.

Indeed, one of the tastiest and most vital foods for our health is green leaves, such as lettuce, parsley, celery, cilantro, dill, and more. Most people should incorporate green foods into their daily diet. What makes this food so essential? The component that renders these vegetables crucial to our health is the green substance known as "chlorophyll". Consuming chlorophyll in our daily diet is of vital importance.

Firstly, it's important to note that the nutritional value of chlorophyll is significant. It is one of the richest natural sources of vitamins E, C, B  and K . It also contains numerous minerals like calcium, potassium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, sodium, zinc, and more, as well as various enzymes and amino acids (the building blocks of proteins). In this way, chlorophyll aids in building blood and even contributes to constructing various organs and the body.

Moreover, chlorophyll has several ways to combat cancerous processes: it plays a key role in cleansing the body of toxic substances that affect the development of cancer processes. It also protects against environmental damages, such as sun light and X-rays by acting as an antioxidant. Additionally, chlorophyll penetrates the cells and can inhibit damage development to the genetic material within the cell (DNA), which can lead to cancer processes development.

Chlorophyll also strengthens the immune system, which, among other duties, can identify and even eradicate cells that have become cancerous. Chlorophyll knows how to bind to harmful substances that smokers introduce into their bodies, and to expel them from the body.
