Hello, my friends!
Here we are at the Hapsburg Palace; here behind me is the infamous balcony upon which Hitler stood when he announced the beginning of the Holocaust. Here he announces that he is taking Austria and making it part of Germany, and from here, G-d protect us, the bloody Holocaust broke out.
My friends!
The balcony exists, Hitler doesn’t exist, but despite it all the Jewish People live and exist forever. Since then Austria has managed to separate from Germany, to lead an independent life, and since then the People of Israel have been able to come to their land; and in the Land of Israel and throughout the world, tens of millions of people stand and say: “Master of the Universe! Thank you so much; because of You we are the Eternal Nation.
What vast quantities of evil can there be in this world? What vast amount of desire to do only evil and harm? Everything starts from little things - big, but principally - everything begins from those things that we, too, need to improve in.
Someone will always try to say that Hitler did it because the whole country belonged to the Jews and he wanted to get rid of the debt, but one could also say that if the Holy One didn’t want this to happen, it obviously wouldn't have happened. If it happened, it was apparently G-d’s will, the loudest smack in the face that the Jewish People received for generations.
But today, the Jewish People, thank G-d, we’re all returning, reinforcing ourselves, allowing the claws of evil to be uprooted, as Hitler's memory fades from the world, and from day to day we perfect and prepare the world “to rectify the world in the kingdom of G-d”, and together may we merit the coming of our righteous redeemer, speedily in our days, and all the Holocaust martyrs will rise and join us and tells us: “Together, we understood the message, we internalized it, and together we merited to make this a better world.”
Be blessed!
