Capricorn is the tenth sign in the zodiac, and its ruling planet is Saturn.

The tribe associated with the month of Tevet is the tribe of Dan, to whom Jacob's blessing was: "Dan shall judge his people as one of the tribes of Israel," meaning they will avenge the enemies of Israel like a serpent and prevent enemies of Israel from entering the Land of Israel and harming the people of Israel.

A prominent characteristic of Capricorns is their powerful ambition. Even when facing difficulties or obstacles, they remain steadfast and continue to move steadily towards their goals.

Gifts and Tools

The essence of the month of Tevet is rage, which can be harnessed positively, as in the teaching "a person should always provoke the good inclination against the evil inclination" (Talmud, Berakhot 5a). This means Capricorns can utilize their innate anger for self-improvement by distancing themselves from negative deeds and inclinations and moving towards good deeds and self-correction.

Capricorns are consistent, responsible, mature, and persistent. When given a task, it can be expected to be completed reliably. They possess a strong sense of responsibility and high self-discipline.

Capricorns are characterized by excellent planning and organizational skills and are dedicated and efficient in their work.

They are practical people with both feet on the ground, viewing life logically and not swayed by fantasies.

Financially, they are cautious and prefer not to take risks, carefully considering their steps when making financial decisions.

They consistently stay grounded, operating in life with much logic and reasonableness.

They are blessed with internal strength and the ability to stand firm in the face of challenges and pressures.

Weaknesses Requiring Correction

Esau is called 'Seir' because he was born covered in hair.

Gedi (kid) is the offspring of a goat, referred to in rabbinic literature as 'Seir,' thus Gedi and Seir are essentially the same.

Esau is described as a person with boiling blood, "Let me swallow some of this red, red stew" (Genesis 25:30). This implies that Capricorns have an influence of Esau's trait regarding their dominant blood nature.

The Talmud states that the liver, known as the "blood reservoir," is the organ responsible for anger. Therefore, the spiritual work of Capricorns is to work on controlling their anger.

Capricorns have difficulty accepting conventions and external impositions. They tend to be bold and expect the environment to behave according to their wishes. Therefore, Capricorns need to learn to overcome the rebellious and charging nature of the goat and work on self-control.

They are prone to rashness in speech, so it is important for them to exercise more caution and thoughtfulness before speaking in the heat of the moment.

They find it difficult to express warm and loving words and need to learn to soften the coldness they project.

To melt the emotional coldness that characterizes them, it is advisable to adopt the guideline: "After actions, hearts are drawn," meaning performing actions that radiate warmth, love, and care for others will positively influence their emotions to become warmer.
