The doctor who was summoned stood astonished before the suffering rabbi, whose mind wandered in the upper worlds, and said that his intense mental activity hindered his recovery. He suggested that he recite Psalms, but our teacher was puzzled: Can one recite Psalms without deep thought?...

He also refused to take medication, which, while strengthening him, somewhat dulled his thoughts, and instead returned to his writing desk, filled with pain, while his family tried to ease his suffering with wet cloths.

Yet, even then, when his life was at risk, our teacher promised: I will not leave it unfinished.

He knew the magnitude of his mission and genuinely dedicated himself to the redemption of the people of Israel. Indeed, on Lag BaOmer 5713, he had the merit of blessing upon completion at the tomb of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai, and from that point, his teachings began to spread widely.

The "Ladder" - With Divine Insight

Those with profound vision were amazed by his commentary, where every word was carefully weighed and measured with a magnificent explanation of the matters, without any superfluous embellishments. It was his way - to not write a single word until it was meticulously arranged in his mind, hence he required no drafts whatsoever!

The Zohar was sealed and closed until the "Ladder" Commentary, not due to a lack of understanding of the Aramaic in which it was written. Anyone who thinks that the Zohar is merely a collection of legends with occasional deep matters requiring explanation - is simply mistaken.

The scope is too narrow to elaborate on the matters our teacher deciphered and explained with exquisite taste and his high understanding. All this because the era of the footsteps of the Messiah has come, and the time for revealing the secrets has arrived.
