The National Kashrut Division of the Chief Rabbinate wishes to inform the public that during an inspection by the Jerusalem supervision system, institutional canned goods were found bearing labels of "Zan Ha'aretz" brand olives under the supervision of the Kfar Saba Rabbinate and the "Yoreh Deah" Badatz. However, the cans contained pickled cucumbers which are suspected to be produced in the Tulkarem area without any kosher supervision.

The Kfar Saba Rabbinate and the "Yoreh Deah" Badatz have informed the Kashrut Division that this olive brand is not under their supervision and the certification is counterfeit. There is suspicion that the cans were labeled in this manner to circumvent the supervision system.

"Zan Ha'aretz" brand olive cans should not be accepted in supervised establishments. Please update the National Unit inspectors about any location where this product is being sold. Be vigilant regarding any discrepancy between the product name on the label and its contents. Special attention is required for stands selling various pickled items and olives in bulk.

The Kashrut Division also wishes to inform the public that non-kosher meat was found at 'Burger Kuvana' restaurant located at 22 Hanachshol Street in Yavne. The National Unit's investigation indicates that this appears not to be a one-time incident.

This was discovered thanks to the vigilance of the original kosher supervisor, in accordance with the local Rabbinate's announcement. The investigation of the case continues, and the public is advised to be cautious and avoid this establishment.

Additionally, according to information received by the Chief Rabbinate of Israel, there is concern that roasted chickpeas from Turkey (importer: Miel Impex) have been distributed to bulk food departments in supermarket chains without proper kosher certification. This product should not be approved for use in supervised branches and should be returned to the supplier.
