#VALUE!
Most of us think of kindness as something "big" that requires special effort, such as helping the elderly, volunteering in faraway places, or making a large donation. But in truth, it is everyday compassion that makes the real difference, and it's much simpler than it seems.
1. A small greeting changes a big world
Small gestures such as saying hello, showing genuine interest, or giving a warm smile, create an invaluable human connection.
Tip: "How's it going?" or "Shabbat Shalom" can quickly create a good atmosphere around you.
2. A listening ear - the effortless deed
Stopping to listen is an act of great compassion.
Tip: When someone is talking to you, focus on their words instead of planning your next response. The best response is the listening itself.
3. A kind word at the right time
A kind word can work wonders - at work, at home, even in your child's class WhatsApp group. Let the people around you feel appreciated- it makes a big difference to be noticed for our efforts.
Tip: Commit to giving at least one compliment a day.

4. Small help at an unexpected junction
Have you ever helped another parent struggling to lift a stroller up the stairs or opened a door handle for someone whose hands were full? Such small acts seem trivial to us, but for the other person they can be very meaningful.
Tip: Don't hesitate to ask "Can I help?"
5. A smile is a universal language
Studies have found that a genuine smile releases endorphins that improve our mood and that of those around us. If you're standing in the long line at the supermarket or watching drivers at a traffic light, smile! You might get a strange look or two, but you're also likely to receive a warm wink that brightens your day.
6. A small compliment, a big change
People love to be appreciated. A sincere compliment to someone about their work or their appearance, can encourage them and affect their entire day. If you have something nice to say, don't hold back!
7. Do something unexpected for someone
A small bag of cookies for a friend, a cup of coffee for a neighbor, or little notes with encouraging words hidden in your child's lunch bag can make a big difference.
Acts of kindness need not be an "event" but can be integrated into our daily lives. The more we perform such acts, the more we discover how our lives change for the better. Every act of kindness plants a small positive network around us and inspires others to do the same.
