According to statistics, what causes people who observe mitzvot, to be more satisfied with their lives? Following is the final part of the explanation.

For the previous episode, Reason Six: Life without Disappointments

Reason Seven: Life without Anger and Stress

Usually, a person who follows the ways of the Torah is not prone to anger – which makes their soul a healthier, more relaxed, and consequently happier soul.

Why are they not prone to anger?

1. They know that everything is for the good, and even if a friend did something wrong to them, they understand it's ultimately for their benefit and there's no reason to be angry. They are aware that no harm is done unless it is decreed from Heaven. (Chullin 7b). Also, judging a friend favorably often prevents disputes in advance.

2. They learn about the negative nature of anger, the importance of avoiding this trait from a Torah perspective, and receive tools and advice on how to deal with anger when faced with challenges.

If one does not follow the ways of the Torah, handling anger is much harder, as they lack the tools and incentives to detach from this trait. The person who keeps Torah and mitzvot knows how to forgive and pardon their friend, which is healing for both parties.

Those who follow the ways of the Torah and mitzvot benefit from better marital relationships, as they are easygoing individuals who do not express anger at their surroundings, thereby enhancing peace in their home (as evidenced by census surveys showing significantly lower divorce rates among the Torah-observant community).

Aside from the above, Shabbat and holidays contribute significantly to a healthy psyche and increased happiness. The joy, peace and connection on this day affects even the regular weekdays.

It is clear that a life without anger creates a ripple effect of positivity to all those we come in contact with.
