#VALUE!

Negative thoughts have a way of becoming self-fulfilling. They can leave us feeling helpless, frustrated, hopeless, and full of self-doubt.

But the good news is that you’re not stuck. You can break the cycle and stop those thoughts before they turn into your reality.

The Thoughts That Prevent Us From Progressing in Life

1. "I can't" – Do you recognize a real limitation, or are you trying to convince yourself because you’re feeling stuck, scared, or hopeless? Most of the time, phrases like that come from fear, not from actual facts. Don’t let that kind of thinking hold you back.

2. "What will they say" – We all want to be liked by family and friends, but what price are you willing to pay for that? If that thought controls your day, it might be getting in the way of making the right decisions. Try shifting from overthinking to making a clear choice helps break that mental loop.

3. "Never" – This negative thought raises doubt that our life goals will ever be fulfilled, and dampens our aspirations for a better future. Try changing your thinking, and you'll discover that often this statement doesn't align with the true reality.

4."I can't" or "I'm not allowed to" — really? Who says so? Sometimes we rush to shut things down because we feel awkward, uncomfortable, or just don’t want to ruffle feathers. But ask yourself — is this reaction possibly exaggerated? Before you accept the thought as truth, try adding a question mark. It might help you see things differently.

5."What if?" – Do you sometimes wonder what would have happened if everything had turned out differently? We all know it's not possible to change the past, so why engage these thoughts?

Instead, ask yourself what can be done from now on. Instead of blaming yourself, ask questions that will move you forward by learning from past experiences.

6. "I don't have" – We've all been there, feeling like the weight of the world is on our shoulders. But who said you don’t have? And even if that’s true right now — who’s to say it won’t change?

When that thought shows up, try to stay in the moment. Maybe you don’t have it right now — but that doesn’t mean you won’t have it in the future.

Good luck!
