The National Kashrut Department of the Chief Rabbinate published yesterday (Wednesday) a list of products that are presented as kosher certified by the Chief Rabbinate of Israel, but feature counterfeit certification. Among the products, you can find tahini from the territories, imported cheeses from abroad, chocolates and toffee candies, Trump vodka, oils, and more.
The Kashrut Department of the Chief Rabbinate of Israel warns against the following products:
"Chef's Oil - Refined Corn Oil" bears counterfeit kosher symbols. The product "Al-Basma Oil Refined Corn Oil" is also presented as kosher, but this is a serious forgery.
Tahini imported from Nablus, despite having no kosher certification, is labeled "Approved by the Chief Rabbinate."
Various cheeses imported to Israel that did not receive approval from the Chief Rabbinate:
Various Boursin cheeses produced by "Boursin" France and imported by A. Siman Trade Ltd., presented as kosher dairy for those who consume non-Jewish milk powder.
