If Hashem Values Every Deed, Why Doesn’t It Seem Like It?!
A Jewish person contemplates: If Hashem values my every action, and the entire world was created for me, why does it not seem that way? An enlightening insight you must not miss.

Who is more important – the groom or the event producer? Imagine a monument being erected in memory of the great deeds of Noah and Abraham. Who do you think would receive the more prestigious monument? Who would get the more central square? Would it be Noah Square or Abraham Square?
If we look superficially, it seems that Noah saved the universe. The entire world was destroyed, and Noah and his sons rebuilt it. Humanity continued through Noah. Every person you see around you is a descendant of Noah.
And what about Abraham our forefather - what did he do?
Abraham our forefather infused the world with purpose, in the world of friendship he built between himself and Hashem – he infused the essence of creation, a burning palace. This palace continues to shine and progress towards creating a connection of marriage between Hashem and the lower world. "Hashem desired to have a dwelling place in the lower." We are here for this purpose... This is the core of the inner most goal of creation.
Today, there is a profession known as "event producer." A person arrives with a truck and unloads equipment, hundreds of chairs, benches, sound equipment, tables, a main table, flowers, an organ, a DJ, and whatnot! The event producer is very dominant at the event. The entire event is his. Everything you see here – he did it all.

There is one thing unrelated to him: what is the reason for the event? Yes, there is a professional and amazing event production, but why and for what?
Oh, you ask why?
There is a Torah scholar completing the Talmud, there is a groom and bride. Although they didn’t move even one plastic chair, they are not involved in the sound system or the stunning designs. There are hardly any fingerprints of theirs here, but everyone understands that they are the event itself! They are the highlight of the evening, they and no one else!
The Groom Doesn’t Serve the Blintzes or Organize the Dances
This is the difference between Noah and Abraham. Noah - he is the world’s event producer. He took care of the world’s existence. He bore the heavy burden of all the event’s accessories. He sustained all the animals and creatures, providing for them all - to restore the event called the world.
Indeed, the event is credited to him. This entire world, with all its production, is attributed to Noah.
But still! Who is the event itself? Around whom is the event? Who is the star of the evening? You know who it is for and around whom this entire event is!
And don’t expect to see his fingerprints in this world, because the groom and the bride don’t lift a finger in organizing the wedding. Don’t forget that the event owner foots the bill, he gives the check at the end of the evening to the event producer, but outwardly he doesn’t appear.
This is the message we must internalize.
Sometimes a devoted servant of Hashem stands in the great and vast world, expecting a bit of feedback. After all, "one who studies Torah for its own sake - the entire world is worthwhile for him," "this is equal to the entire world," "the entire world was created only for this."
Yes, Hashem created an entire world, with all the people in it, and all it includes – ultimately as a backdrop and crew. For whom? For the person complete in the holiness of their Creator.
A God-fearing individual who guards their eyes and fulfills His will might think to themselves: if Hashem values my every action so much, and the entire world was created for me, why does it not seem that way? I look around and see many people moving things in this world. I am really not influential here in this world. No one knocks on my door, no one tries to flatter me or establish connections. Everyone understands that other people are in the higher places; they are the world’s event producers. They are the address for sound, equipment, and budgets, and I? I retreat here in embarrassment, hoping to get a discount on property taxes.
Why? Why is it like this? Why do I feel so far from being influential in the world?
What's the answer?
You are right!
The groom never plays on the stage of the event producer! You don’t hear his voice as a singer. He doesn’t turn the lights on or off. He doesn’t serve the blintzes, nor is he responsible for the dances, but he is the groom!
You are the groom!
You are the one touching the core point!
You deal with the purpose for which the world was created, and this you understand. There’s no need to explain to you that all these glamorous people you speak of who move things in this world and have influence – you know very well they aren’t truly connected to the creation’s purpose. They don’t have much to do with it, whereas you do! You directly face the burning palace owner and seek to please Him that He may rejoice in His world.
So remember, dear Jew, you are the groom around whom everything revolves, and all the others, managing everything around, are the event producers.
Dear groom, honor yourself, sit in your place and rejoice in your unique role. Let others continue to dance around you. Let them run the entire event. They do it excellently. And you – continue to focus and concentrate on your holy mission: how to bring pleasure to our Creator.
How fortunate we are to be the children of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, who chose us from all the nations.
