Why Are Jews a Minority Compared to Other Nations?

When will the promise that the Jewish people will be as numerous as the stars be fulfilled?

It is written, "I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars of the sky and all the earth." So why are we Jews a minority in relation to other nations in the world?

Hello and blessings,

The majority of its days, the Jewish people have been in exile. Gentiles persecuted the people of Israel during the exile, making it very hard for them (in the last century, Germans murdered 6 million Jews). The children of Israel sinned, which led to many of the curses written in the Torah being fulfilled in them, hindering their growth in the world. Despite that, Hashem saved the children of Israel throughout all the years of exile, and did not allow the gentiles to annihilate us despite the persecutions.

It is understood that Hashem knew the condition of the people of Israel from the start, and thus said in the Torah: "It was not because you were more numerous than other peoples that the Lord set His heart on you and chose you, for you were the fewest of all peoples"!

However, what Hashem promised Abraham will still be fulfilled in the end of days, with the coming of the redemption. All the blessings written in the Torah are yet to be fulfilled for the people of Israel, and then we will multiply and become a great nation among the nations.

Best regards,
