A new Guinness World Record has been broken, this time in an unexpected area – folding and throwing a paper airplane at record speed. David Rush, who holds dozens of world records, managed to improve his own previous record, setting it at just 5.12 seconds.

Rush, known for his relentless pursuit of records, visited the Guinness World Records headquarters in London and attempted to break his previous record of 6.15 seconds. In an exceptionally successful attempt, he managed to reduce the time by more than a second – an extraordinary achievement in precision and speed.

According to him, the plane he folded and threw might not have been the most beautiful, but it was certainly the most impressive in his opinion. "Sometimes, speed and precision trump perfection," he wrote after breaking the record. The unique plane that made history is now proudly displayed at the Guinness offices in London.

Guinness World Records never cease to amaze us, with outstanding achievements across various fields. In recent years, fascinating records have been broken, such as the record by Joseph Grizzly, who made history by eating a powdered donut in just 9.17 seconds, or Kevin Nicks’ record for building the world’s tallest limousine at 3.65 meters high.

Astonishing records have also been set in sports and fitness, like the record of Naveen Kumar from India, who performed the highest number of sit-ups in one hour – an amazing 3,000 repetitions. In addition, a riveting speed record was broken in 2023, when Joshua Choi managed to type 200 words per minute on a touchscreen, an achievement that demonstrates how typing speed can be an art in itself.
