Posted a Video Online - Police Astonished by What They Discovered by Accident

This was an extraordinary event: two young people posted a viral video online. They hoped to gather thousands of likes and shares, but they forgot to hide a small detail: a missile and a gun in the room. After the video reached the police, a search of their home also discovered a missile, likely sourced from terrorist groups.

The incident began when, in the video that garnered thousands of views online, the two youths were seen near a police station in Kiryat Gat. Alongside the footage, a taunting text was added: "They call us thieves, murderers, but they don't call us cowards!" However, what truly caught the police's attention was an object appearing in the video – a weapon resembling a gun, next to a missile.

Following the video, special units at the Kiryat Gat station launched focused investigative activities, using technological means to locate the two. After a hunt, they were arrested over the weekend, with one found in possession of an Airsoft gun. But the thrilling discovery occurred during a home search, where an improvised RPG missile was found. Police bomb technicians examined the missile and determined it contained various components without active explosives.

Security officials stated that the missile is commonly used by terrorist organizations, and investigations are ongoing on how it came into the youths' possession and whether they have links to criminal organizations or hostile entities.

The suspects were brought for questioning at the Kiryat Gat station, and following this, the police sought to extend their detention. Lachish Regional Commander, Chief Superintendent Roey Waldman, stated: "We will not allow anyone to undermine public security or threaten the rule of law. Any attempt to disrupt stability and public order will be met with a swift and uncompromising response."

About two years ago, a similar incident occurred when young people uploaded a video with improvised weapons. Following the video, the police opened an investigation and found an illegal weapons lab in a southern settlement. Even then, the seemingly innocent video led to the discovery of dangerous weapons and the arrest of those involved.
