Found a 'Sharp Stone' and Kept It for 10 Years. Now It's Worth a Fortune
A fisherman found a giant sharp stone nearly a decade ago, decided to salvage it from the depths and keep it for himself. It turns out it's a unique pearl that might be worth $100 million.

A fisherman from the Puerto Princesa area of the Philippines was astonished to discover that the giant pearl he kept under his bed for a decade is worth an enormous sum. The man found the pearl by chance 10 years ago when his boat's anchor got caught on a huge clam while he was fishing at sea. To free the anchor, he dived deep and suddenly came across the extraordinary pearl, which he decided to take and keep.
Images of the pearl were published on social media and sparked significant interest.
Unlike the typical appearance of pearls, this one looks like a gigantic molar, and its dimensions are impressive: it is about 30 cm wide, about 67 cm long, and its astonishing weight is 34 (!) kg.
Eileen Cynthia Maggay-Amurao, the fisherman's aunt who works at the local tourism office, said that one day her nephew decided to hand her the pearl after it became too heavy for him. She stated that she had never encountered a pearl of this size. "We searched for information online and couldn't find a pearl so big," she said.
According to estimates, if the pearl is indeed genuine and originated from a giant clam, it could be worth over $100 million. Meanwhile, the pearl is displayed at the Puerto Princesa City Hall, where it attracts a lot of attention and has become an attraction for tourists and visitors.
