"Not long ago, a mother came into our store with her 9-year-old son," begins Moshe Rafaeli, the owner of the Kinder Toys toy store chain. "The mother asked for one of the popular games on the market; she knew exactly what she wanted. But the store employee sensed there might be another need here. She asked the mother's permission and began to explain a bit about different games and the differences between them. A few minutes later, the child joined the conversation and said to his mother, 'I don't like the game you wanted; it's too difficult for me.' Ultimately, they left the store with something else, suitable for the child's age and level, something he could take home and actually play with."
Rafaeli often hears from people how they bought games for their children, which later gather dust on the shelf due to such incompatibility. In his store, he has decided this will not happen. "It's important to me to match customers with what's right for them," he says. This was also the thought behind building the new Kinder Toys website. "We created a robot on the site that, with a few simple questions, matches products to customers, each according to their budget, requirements, and needs. If there are four types of Monopoly, for example, it shows the differences between them, allowing for more accurate decision-making." Moreover, the site allows filtering products by age, gender, brand, and even the type of skill you want to develop. In addition, each game comes with a detailed explanation, which also helps in the selection process. "Overall, it's always smart to buy with consideration of what will engage and develop the child, not just because there's currently a sale on a specific product or because everyone is buying it," adds Rafaeli. "This is also the way to save money, through efficient and smart buying."
The real fun on the site is that parents can find everything. School supplies, art and craft materials, developmental toys and games for all ages, yard and garden games, summer products, and more. The chain even supplies products to kindergartens, municipalities, and camps. If in the past people had to go out in the hot street, now shoppers on the site can make their purchases while sitting on the couch at home.
"One can learn a lot about children by observing how they play, seeing what their capabilities are and what challenges they face," continues Rafaeli. "You can also impart tools to them, like dealing with challenges, the right attitude toward success and failure, thinking strategies, and more. All this is done through the fun activity of play, without excessive words."

Another significant point Rafaeli highlights is our quality time with the kids. "In our day-to-day lives, we're busy with tasks and usually not so available, but the moment we sit down to play together, all those difficulties are set aside. Personally, I enjoy sitting with my children every Shabbat, giving each of them some fun time just for them. It brings joy and happiness into the relationship, which gives us strength to better handle life's challenges."
He concludes with a note fitting for these times. "The prophet Zechariah describes the idyll that will occur during the time of redemption, the peace and happiness that will prevail in the streets. 'Old men and women will again sit in the streets of Jerusalem... and the streets of the city will be filled with boys and girls playing in its streets.' This idyll is already at the doorstep; anyone can bring home moments of play and family ease. And all it takes is one click on the new Kinder Toys website."
