From the New York Times: "I Don't Think I Need to Sacrifice a Life to Succeed in Life"

They are young, educated, hold esteemed positions, and are all American social activists for life and against abortion. Following the dramatic decision by the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn the ruling allowing abortions, the New York Times published a profile article about the generation of women living and breathing true female empowerment, with a collection of strong quotes from the article.

#VALUE!

"I simply reject the idea that, as a woman, I need an abortion in order to be successful or to hold a thriving career like a man's. I don't think I need to sacrifice a life to do all that," says Phoebe, a 26-year-old social activist from Texas. Phoebe is one of the women interviewed in an article published about a week ago in the New York Times titled "The Generation for Life."

The article featured voices of women defined as part of a new generation of social activists who welcomed the Supreme Court's decision in the U.S. For them, the article states, it's a victory for human rights without any harm to women's rights.

Journalist Ruth Graham candidly, respectfully, and with noteworthy journalistic balance, profiles these social activists for life in the U.S., noting that they are young women, Christian, religious and secular alike, who, after seeing ultrasound images of fetuses, believe that the fetus is a viable living being from the moment of its creation, and that women are victims of the abortion industry.

"A Woman Who Ends a Baby's Life Will Not Make Her Pain Disappear"

Kristan Hawkins, President of Students for Life in America, participates in the article and says that the anti-abortion movement offers a vision for young women that is much more empowering than what pro-abortion feminism offers. "If that feminism tells young women they need to end their pregnancy to achieve their career goals and education, the anti-abortion movement tells them they can have it all." Hawkins emphasizes.

Kayleigh Cornett (28), manager of a women's medical center in Nashville, Tennessee, which provides services and support to pregnant women, says one wise thing that encompasses so much regarding abortions: "I believe trauma leads to trauma. A woman who ends a baby's life will not make her pain disappear." Incidentally, the Nashville police investigated a vandalism case at that medical center. The article states that the police note graffiti was sprayed on the building's wall, and an organization encouraging pregnancy termination claimed responsibility for the incident.

"They Say These Are Women's Rights, But All I See is Suppression"

Kristin Turner, a social activist from Reading Cliff, formed a band where one of their songs addresses the cognitive deception by those organizations for pregnancy termination. The song lyrics are: "They say it's empowerment, they say these are women's rights, but all I see is suppression."

The absurdity is that Turner has been arrested three times for social activism for life, twice of which were after she entered pregnancy termination clinics and distributed information to the women. "If someone acts violently toward a human being, then territorial boundaries should not be respected. The reality is that people are dying. I have privilege, and I must leverage it and use the influence I have."

These are the words of American non-Jewish women who understand well that you cannot build lives on a cemetery! Those who think they will stop a life to "advance" in life, it's our duty to awaken them and let them know that after stopping a life—all life itself stops.

"I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day: I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. Choose life so that you and your seed may live" (Deuteronomy 30:19).
