How is Purim celebrated at the White House? Ivanka Trump, the Jewish daughter of U.S. President Donald Trump, surprised employees and staff members with especially festive Mishloach Manot.
According to announcements on her Instagram account, Ivanka started preparing the Mishloach Manot two weeks ago, where she posted photos of her children helping with the mitzvah of baking hamantaschen. "Our hamantaschen game is spot on this year," Ivanka wrote alongside the photos.
According to a report by Betsy Klein from CNN on Twitter, the packages featured Purim holiday greetings and, as mentioned, contained hamantaschen that Ivanka baked with her children and her husband Jared, who serves as an advisor to the American president. "Happy Purim from the Kushner family - Jared, Ivanka, Arabella, Joseph, and Theodore," said the small note attached to the Mishloach Manot.
