#VALUE!

What seemed like another ordinary workday for Nissim Ben Gigi from Petach Tikva, who works as a salesman at a door company branch in Jerusalem, took an unexpected turn. "I was driving on Highway 1 towards Jerusalem when suddenly, just before the Shoresh interchange, I heard a strange noise and the car started to stall," Ben Gigi recalls. "I pulled over to the shoulder and stopped, even though it was dangerous. At the same time, I called my manager to inform him that the car had broken down."

While on the phone with his manager, Ben Gigi (43) noticed black smoke emanating from the engine and quickly exited the car. "I grabbed a few important items like my phone and wallet and moved away from the vehicle."

Seconds later, the car began to burn. "The police arrived and blocked the road for an hour and a half, and I stood at a distance, filming my car in flames. I heard loud explosions from the engine, and the fire burned for about eight minutes. Everything melted."

Firefighters soon arrived at the scene to extinguish the fire and also questioned Ben Gigi about the events. "After the fire was out, I approached the car to see what was left of it. Behind me stood two police officers and two firefighters, and when I opened the driver's door, where most of the fire had occurred, everyone was in shock."

'You see. This is Hashem - He cannot be harmed.'

The reason for the shock was that from the driver's door, which had been completely burned, as seen in the numerous pictures, Ben Gigi pulled out two unharmed books: a Book of Psalms and a volume of Likutey Moharan. "As a ba'al teshuva for several years, I make it a habit to keep holy books in my car wherever I go. Besides a bit of charring on the edges, these two books remained whole and unscathed. I still can't process the immense sanctification of Hashem's name that occurred there when the officers saw it. No one had an explanation for how this could happen," says Ben Gigi excitedly.

When asked how he reacted upon seeing the car burn, he replied, "It's not easy to digest, but when I saw the miracle with the books, I realized there was clear divine providence at work. I started laughing and thanking Hashem for the miracle. All the drivers who came out and approached to see what happened to my car were in shock when they saw the books had survived. I filmed everything; I was very moved. The looks on everyone's faces proved to me that something beyond nature had occurred, and I told them: 'You see. This is Hashem - He cannot be harmed.'

When asked why he thinks he was granted such a large miracle, Ben Gigi humbly responded, "I'm a simple man. I don't feel like I'm doing anything extraordinary. I study Torah in a kollel, try to be a good person, get to know Hashem, and do what He asks of me," he says, but then suddenly remembers that this Book of Psalms is no ordinary book. "I received this book at the beginning of my return to religion from Rabbi Binyamin Elbaz of the Tapuach settlement. He told me back then: 'Keep this book by your side, and it will guard you.' The first thing I did after this happened was call him to tell him about it. He was also in shock and said there was no doubt a miracle had occurred."
