The Orthodox Jew Who Predicted Election Outcomes Using the Biblical Code

Rabbi Meir HaCohen Torneheim was not swayed by polls or forecasts predicting a left-wing victory. Torah codes revealed the results to him, as they have for the past 16 years. An interview.

Every election cycle, it happens. Everyone follows polls, predicting various victories and promising great upheavals, but there is someone who, for 16 years, has not been influenced by polls and headlines. He simply knows what the outcome will be. Prophecy? Divine inspiration? Not at all. Rabbi Meir HaCohen Torneheim, a Chabad Chassid from Lod, simply searches for and finds secret codes in the Torah..

"Throughout six elections, I've discovered that I see the election results. I never made it public, only shared it with family and friends," Rabbi Torneheim shares in an interview with the Hidabroot website. "I love searching. Make no mistake; this is not something simple or easy. You have to dive deep into the sea of Torah and need a lot of patience and desire for it. I would sit for hours and search, and every time I would tell everyone, look, it says here that so-and-so is the winner".

He hasn't found signs for parliamentary elections yet, but he has detected early indications of prime ministers. "I just didn’t keep the papers on which I made the calculations," he says. "And it’s a pity. It needs to be reconstructed. It’s very interesting and reinforces faith. I want as many people as possible to know what I'm doing".

According to him, the 'Kol Chai' radio station broadcast live the results he wrote – before the elections, and made sure to pass the pages with the explanations to the prime minister "but no one got back to me – because they didn’t imagine it was true," he explains.

How does it work? Each Torah portion is divided into seven parts called: First, Second, Third, etc. You open the portion to be read on the Shabbat after the elections and look for the result on that day. For example, if the elections are held on a Wednesday, you look for the solution in the Fourth Aliyah. "The solution is interwoven within the relevant section and must be searched for and found. What’s unique about this method is that the result will appear in just one verse, not several verses combined".

"Benjamin Netanyahu will be the prime minister," is what the Rabbi found in the portion of Vayikra, on the eve of the last elections. In the same chapter, in verse 13, he found through skips another sentence: "Benjamin Netanyahu at the head".

Rabbi Torneheim describes himself as a simple person who gives Torah classes, learns, and transmits a weekly Torah message to 350 businesspeople. "I truly hope this reaches as many people as possible, to strengthen their faith," he concludes
